Dating teacher's son - Yes? No? :S

Basically, I met a lovely boy at a party a few weeks ago. We got on really well, exchanged numbers and a few kisses  I met up with him last week and found out that he is my maths teacher's son! I didn't really mention school or anything when we first met, just that I was in 6th form. When we had a chance to have a proper chat, he told me that his mum worked at my school, teaching maths.
His mum has been my teacher since Year 7 and I'm now in Year 12. We get on really well - she's a brilliant teacher and a good 'friend'
Thing is, I'm not sure whether it would be be 'weird' between us, if I were to date her son :s-smilie:
I'd be round her house quite a lot and so will obviously see her out of school quite often, which would probably unintentially change our 'relationship' (can't think of a better word).
He's asked me out again and has said that he'd really like us to be more than friends - should I go for it? I like him a lot and I know I shouldn't let the fact that his mum is my teacher affect any relationship we have, but in reality do you think it would just feel too weird?

I know it's a bit of a pointless thread, and I'm just rambling now but, yeah, your thoughts?

Do it, you'll regret it if you don't and if it does feel a bit weird, you could always either get used to it or say so to him.

Think of it in his eyes, he probably finds it hard to get girls interested if they know his mum =)

Yea! That's not a good enough reason not to!

My friend (male) dated my geography teacher's son, and a whole bunch of people decided to tell him (the teacher) in class. Turns out he didn't know his son was that way inclined. Awkward...

Oh my god that's awful! Poor guy (the son)!

In response to the OP: I'd say go for it. If she's a nice teacher who's already almost a "friend" then I don't really see that there's a huge problem. Obviously if she was the sort of teacher who'd decide to fail you if the relationship didn't work out then it might be a difficult issue, but if she's understanding and friendly then there's no real reason not to.

This happened to my friend - he started dating his English teacher's (female) daughter. I think it was odd for him at first, being round there when her mum was there but they soon all got over it.
I think you should just go for it, if you don't you'll just have so many 'what ifs' going through your head. You like him, you obviously have a connection and you shouldn't let your teacher get in the way of that. I'm sure at your age you have the maturity to be able to keep you personal life and school pupil life seperate.

It's not weird at all.
Especially in my school where like 3 people in my year are children of teachers... and like most of the teachers send their children to the school.
So we're all round the houses of teachers like all the time, and know them out of school.

And I know plenty of people who are students at school and have gone out with teacher's children. Its all cool.

So yes... do it!

Go for it! (If you haven't already done so!)
My best friend is dating our Chemistry teacher's son & there's no 'awkwardness' between them at all
It might feel a bit weird at first but I'm sure, once you get over that initial feeling, it won't bother you at all
From what you've said, she sounds like a lovely person & will probably be very happy for you both
Good luck! x

Sadly, yes it's true. It was funny at the time, and then very, very awkward... The same teacher's son also won Raven on CBBC when he was younger which is pretty cool, just thought I'd throw that in there lol.

Awesome random fact!
I can remember watching that show but never like the full thing
Does someone always win or do they always get shoved off that path thing?
