Awwwww hun you need a hug! *gives one* :hugs:

I know whatever I say won't be much consolation, and it is unfair if you've worked so hard and not been able to do well on that particular paper, but you've done your absolute best, no-one can say you could have worked harder, and that should be enough for anyone. Be proud of the effort you put in. Even if the result isn't quite what you wanted, that is still commendable.

And don't worry about the needle, I would cry whether I was stressed or not, and in your condition it's perfectly understandable! Sounds to me like ya need some TLC.

best advice, go out party and get blind with your mates in a spa. Honestly its the best solution.

you studied the unhealthy way. if you're naturally intelligent you shouldn't need to deprive yourself of a life in favour of studying, and if you're not then studying so much isn't going to be that effective either. Doing your best means giving it your all but not giving ALL of YOU to the books! I know that's not much help now but bear it in mind for the future

For your situation now i suggest you just realise that there are more important things in life then your grades. Also you can't even be sure you've done so bad...when i finished my maths exam last year i was positive that even if i got everything i'd written down 100% correct i would still fail as i didn't think i'd written enough to pass. Turns out i got a pretty decent mark!

And if you already have an offer for uni and miss it you might still be let in..i missed my offer to study at warwick and they still let me in, even though i took a gap year which means they're less likely to offer you a place in the first place!

So think about all these things and realise that by stressing so much about what's already done and dusted you're STILL depriving yourself of a full, complete and happy life!

Best answer? ---> get a hobby

PS i still cry when the doctors poke me with needles! before i went to egypt a few months ago and had to get my injections, the nurse felt so sorry for me she held my hand! :marchmell

yeah well you guys are differnt ,I'm sure pretty sure i havent done good I mean I wanted an A so badly,I don't know if I will be let in or not yet,I actully didn't apply yet,and it's ok here because the system is different than in uk,saying that I've done my best makes me feel worse,I know what is done is done ,but honestly think about it it wouldn't really make you feel any better,it just makes you keep kicking your self. :frown:

Seriously, don't think like that, otherwise you'll look back on this time in your life when you're older and regret the fact you wasted your youth being to sad about exams. It's not worth it. I didn't do how I wanted in my exams, but I got over it quickly and now I'm happy  Yay!

so, it's better to be miserable and feel sorry for yourself than pick up your balls, accept some good advice and get on with life?! well well.

yeah i know but did you know it's not actually good for your brain to stress? if you get all tense and whatever your brain will have a more difficult time recalling information. best thing to do is stop cramming (you've not said you are, but for some odd reason i get the feeling you're trying to cram as much study as you can into every spare second!) and relax!

The night before an exam (or any night you want to relax!) run a nice hot bath, put a few drops of essential oil like lavender in it, light some candles, play some soft classical music and BREATHE! Then do some gentle stretches in your room with the lights off once you've got some cosy jammies on then melt into bed! Trust me, you will be surprised at how awesome you feel the next morning!

By the way, in which country do you live? What exams are you doing? Which uni are you hoping to get into?

can anybody fill me in on why people think theyve failed if they dont get A's?? Iv been predicted 3 a's and a B, but i will be so proud if i passed all of my exams with A to C's because they are a great achievement for anybody. you should be proud of yourself that you have the ability to take your A levels and have the intelligencce to potentially do well, so what does it matter if you dont get highest grade a B or a C are still amazing achievements compared to most people. unless ur uni places depends on it then ur in trouble

live in jordan I'm doing A2 edexcel physics at the moment synoptics left    the ones I was feeling bad about are phy5 and ph4,hmm I'll do that I think it'd the best thing to do to relax maybe the night before exam so that I'll feel fine in the morning at least,
aw dear - horible to get like that i should think. I agree with advice already given - try and relax. Nothing works if you don't relax - hell, crying your heart out to a pillow could just be what you need. Maybe thump the hell out of a pillow...the bath thing doesn't necessarily work for everyone, it could be that you just need to vent your tension and anger. A punch bag's good for that, and a pillow's not a bad substitute.

You may not have done as badly as you thought! I too thought that I had messed up my Physics exam, I was so relieved when I got my marks back. Don't worry about it, just wait until you have your results, you may be pleasantly surprised!
But think about it: the past is the past, there is nothing you can do about that now, it's no good worrying about what you could have done instead of revising for that exam. You live in the now, so just concentrate on living each day at a time and enjoy life now.
Think, what is the worst thing that can happen if you don't get the grade you want?
You'll not get into your first choice uni, but you will definitely get into a uni, have you take a look at UCAS extra or seen the list of places that were available last year in clearing? Even Oxford and Cambridge had not filled up all their course. You'll do fine.
So stop worrying until you really have something to worry about (which you may not have, like I said, I saw mistakes everywhere, but still got the grades I needed in Maths and Physics) at results day - and just get all the facts about what options you have if you don't get the grade you needed and can then decide if you method of stuying was good or not.
But you live neither in the past nor the future, so just live today as best as you can and don't worry about what will come.

Perhaps not the best attitude - sure, today's important, but tomorrow will turn around and bite you in the arse if you're not careful.
