hey i dont know how many ppl you know, but 100% in science papers isnt that rare quite a few ppl i know have got 100%'s in physics AS and A2's...and biology aswell

Nah they're not rare at all, especially on A2 exams.
4. For 7b) what did you do?. I think there was a loss of PE, and an increase in KE.
The difference between PE and KE was equal to the work done by the resistive forces.
KE = 37.5joules PE = 117joules
I then just did 8F=Loss of energy=79.5 and that's 10.0N

Now I accidently put 1/2*5^2*3=15 joules instead of 37.5 how many marks would I have lost?

hmmm
probably lose the accuracy marks, maybe a method even (depending on how you set it out). what was it out of? if 5, i would guess between 2-4
6. Hi. Can anyone explain to me the answer to 7a) (potential energy =117J)?

I got mgh = 3 x -9.8 x 8, and its obviously wrong.

oh, and will I get follow through marks if the answer is wrong - can I get 5/5 for part b) still?

the height must be exactly what it sounds like - the actual HEIGHT
8 was the length of the slope. the angle was 30, so the height was 8sin30=4

9. that was pretty difficult. on the Thrust question, for part a, i did it in like 1 line of working so it can't be right. not too bad on the rest of it but i hope i aced P2!

for the thrust, the agreed correct answer on this thread is 1018N [or 1020N (3sf)]
dont worry about it! i think everyone on TSR did well so far
11. i got 18 instead of 1.8 for that dart question. why :'(? i think i just failed my paper.
12. From answers on here, I think i lost 1 or 2 marks, got e as 4/9, why? I have no idea. I must have got a sign wrong.

I might still get 100UMS???

Anyhoo.. just wanted to put my thoughts in...

That was a good paper i must say. It doesn't mean i got it all right.. but i knew how to do it all..(it will probably be my best A-level exam overall!)

But yeah, now i'm worrying less about how shoddy my p3 and m3 went!

I should stop now *tries not to jinx it!*

You probably didnt convert the 10 cm to 0.1 m.

16. right, just realized I bodged up question 5 (b) now, getting the two particles mixed up with weights (ala Zuber) so it is now between raw 63-68 I feel, or UMS 86-93(or so), depending on how generous they are....still an A grade so I really ought not be complaining, but this is the module I will probably get the lowest UMS in maths (knocking wood for C4!!!)

hello! I put 60√3g for this instead of 1018N, will I get penalised or something (I just wanted to ensure accurate results for later parts), and the question didnt say (round to 3sf)

Also, for the acceleration question, some of my mates got -36i+8j, whereas the answer I got is 39.6, I think I m right? since the question asked for Magnitude

But generally a VERY good paper, could well get 100UMS

I think he means (2/3) sqaured = 4/9, but 4/9 is definitely wrong...

the question didnt specify, i think both the answers should b fine
