I'm feeling generous today. Someone please work out how long it would take me to travel 45 Kilometres at about 30mph. Use the DST triangle or whatever, thanks.

Just under an hour as 45 kilometers = 27.9617037 miles

I'd say 58 minutes :biggrin:
i made it 54 minutes on the basis that 1km = 0.6 miles. Couldn't be bothered to open calculator.
45km at 30mph:

Well, 1.6km = 1mile, so 45km =28.125miles

Time = Distance/Speed

So time = 28.125 / 30 = 0.9375 hours.

0.9375 = 56 minutes and 15 seconds

30 mp/h is is 48.28 km/h

If you want to do thesefor fun, lol, please do it, but I cant give any more rep out today. I just can not be bothered to work them out, but Im planning a holiday, so I was just wondering how far things are. The airport is an hour away :eek:

1) 45km at 40mph
2) 15km at 30mph

8k = 5 miles, ergo 30 mph is 48kph
45k at 48kph is 56 minutes

t = d/s
t = 45000m/ 48279mh
t = 45000m/ [48279] = 0.932082271 hours = 3355 seconds = 55.9 minutes

You can't get no more accurate than that. 1.6km per mile is too inaccurate :p:
1 kilometer = 0.621371192 miles
45 km = 27.96170364 m
s = d / t
s = 27.97170364 / 30
s = 0.932056788 mph
0.932056788 x 60 (60 mins in an hr) = 55.92340728 mins
55.92340728 - 55 = 0.92340728
0.92340728 x 60 (60 secs in a min) = 55.4044368 secs

exactly 55 mins and 55 secs! :biggrin:

30mph is 48kph, 15k at 48kph ~ 19 minutes

I wont be driving, I'm too young to in that country :frown: Also I have no license, but that doesnt stop me :biggrin: And of course we wont be hitting 30mph, I was just trying to see if we were going to be sensible.
