Geology (Geologist - a person who studies Geology) is the study of rocks

 no it's not. that's a really bad misconception. geology is the study of the earth, including rocks, fossils, movements of crust/mantle/core, constitutions of planets, past environments, climate change and global warming.

Climate change and global warming are dealt with by climatologists and meteorologists.
