    i think it was 16

im so dumb: for the 1 mark question on the phenotype of the yeast, i didnt mention Mutation, and instead wrote a mini essay cos i really wasnt sure. i said that there is less mitochondrial DNA therefore the proteins cannot be synthesised etc. i duno.
I said since less ATP being produced, because ETC produces bulk of ATP, then t would only get a little energy from the rest of resp, so it would only have limited growth

O monkeys i mentioned it didn't have the genes for the production of those proteins... but darn i didnt even use the word mutation

    i forgot about mutation -_-
yes, I was pleased with the essay too =)
hmm does n e 1 remeber writing the words 'inner membrane' for an ans..i think tiw as asking wher ATP is formed in the mitochondira or sumthing?
and the yeast membrane question.....what did u all come up with?

I put exactly the same, but they asked in what part of the mitochondira did it occur?

    Phew that's ok then!!
fluid bilayer so can incorporate extra proteins
Damn i kinda assumed it was a PL bilayer
I wrote that it'd have receptors and maybe pumps or channels to allow the proteins to be exocytosed out

i ALWAYS thought ATP was produced in the inner membrane........................ ..........no comment.......dats a mark. gone for meeee
yehh i said something about a bilayer and glycoprotein.....hmmm
what do we all recon bout the lovely grade boundary??...i dun think it'll be as low as previous years..>< BOOHOO

You'll probs still get the mark, afterall the cristae are infoldings of the inner membrane.

I reckon the grade boundaries are going to be higher this year

    No more biology
But yeah, I guess the boundaries will be a little higher this year due to the nice essay question.
