Wasn't London Met the uni that was allowing international students to pay fees and not turn up to lectures so they could get full time (illegal) jobs?

Also, isn't London Met the only uni which refuses to publish their results?

hmmm i went to an open day a few weeks back and was average, the guy kept saying that they have great facilities and tbh the computer suite looked like a bomb site :/ plus it's in quite a rough area so i've hastily crossed that uni off my list

I've heard about the latter but don't know about the first comment. That seems a bit farfetched.

Wow. Didn't know it was in a rough area. Thought holloway road was ok. Cheers for advice.

Substantiate on your answer please, give some substance to support your answer. Why? Gangs etc? What. What reasons.

Lolwut? the same QMUL which was #15 in the last RAE exercise, has a #10 Law department, a top #15 English, History, Drama departments etc etc.

QMUL is a topclass institution for many of it's subjects and is very very solid for all of the rest. London Met is a glorified sixth form college spread out across the city in crappy little campuses. Theres not even a comparision.

I'm not talking about its faculties and where it is on the league tables you nimwit. I'm talking about location. East london is a ********, face it, and I've heard this from other students that go there that the campus is as bad.

The campus is one of the best out of all the University of London colleges (the residences and new academic buildings have won numerous awards) and the only one with accomodation on it, so no the campus isn't bad. As for the area, Mile End Road might look **** but it has lower crime statistics than the Russell Square area (Birkbeck, UCL etc) so it's not even the worst in the UOL for crime. So I'd suggest you're the nimwit not myself, stop talking about things you have no clue about.

I'm not "talking about things I have no clue about", which is precisely why I started this thread? I merely passed on information from other students that go there, beside yourself. You may have an opinion but there are others with theirs too, maybe you should accept that. I've been to East london and in general it is not a nice place to live, so I do actually know what I am talking about in that respect. I don't care for uni accomodation, I wouldn't be staying in them. I'm sure KCL or UCL p|sses on Queen Mary though, no?

I wouldn't say they piss on it, certainly not in my subject but yes they are better but then they're better than 90% of universities in this country.
