You can't retake all of them in January

e.g. i know that Edexcel didn't offer Unit 5 and 6 Biology this Januray because there were so few people wanting to take it, as unlike unit 4 almost nobody would take units 5 and 6 in Jan unless they were retaking a year because they missed the grades

Some exams (off the top of my head the only one i can think of is AQA P2 Maths - don't know if OCR and Edexcel do too) you can retake in November, allowing you to spend a whole year working or travelling :p:

And no it won't be - the uni don't get retake scores and stuff although you might have to explain why you're a year older on your PS

You can retake them. However, if you are planning to resit the synoptic units, it must be in june. That is what I'm told by my teachers.

lol. I would rather revise the non-synoptic units and resit those instead. I want to do that, as I still remember the stuff that I still learnt in A2, but not the synoptic. The synoptic is hard.
