I was wondering if anyone is taking the Chinese language B higher level in November this year? Only two people in my school is taking it and I was just wondering how many were taking it around the world. I don't know what my standard will be against everyone else and i just hope i wont be screwed! My friend took Hebrew in May and only apparently 7 ppl took it SL or HL worldwide!

I bet there are a lot of ppl in US and other countries (non-chinese) where children of chinese emigrants take this subject as a grade raiser. If you speak chinese at home, you would most certainly not find it dufficult. I have lived in Sweden for 3 years, didn't know the language at all before coming here and I took Swedish B SL as my IB subject. Don't have the results yet but I tell you, it was easy as all B languages are. The point is, that you have to write it really well, since grade boundaries will be very high (somewhere around 85% for 7) as ppl that take it are of Chinese origins (not all, but most of them). Make a practice test so you'll know where you are. Good luck!!
