    I see. :p:
I would resit only English if I were you. Some uni's concentrate on A-levels more than GCSEs. I got a friend that has C's and D's at GCSE, he got an offer at Reading university. I would recommend you to resit GCSE English, as all uni's need a grade C in it.

You're welcome. You can resit English in November 2005 or June 2006. In addition, you can carry your coursework mark forward too.

You could actually resit English this June since you didn't get a C last year. O well, it's too late now. You need to resit it in June 2006 instead of November, as the coursework can be used once when resitting.

Hmm, thats an overrated statement... I'd say that _most_ Universities disregard GCSEs... I am considering my Uni to be the UCL and out of like 50 courses, I found that in only 4 or 5 did they require a B grade in a certain GCSE... The rest of the courses only wanted AAB-ABB at A-Level.

Why I can't resit on November?

You can. I assume your first attempt for GCSE English is in June 2004, and you didn't resit it in November 2004. Now you will have to resit it in June 2006, as you can't do all the coursework by November.

In general, can you still take Economics for A Level if u get a 'C' grade in it? (My school is fussy about it, anyone who hasn't taken it for GCSE can take it for A Level, but I'm not sure about the people who took it for GCSE).

The answer to the initial thread is no probably not. Because you need metriculation ot get into universites. Unless you decide to go to the open uni, but i think that's only for mature students.
