    an alternator has a rotor length of 5 cm and breadth 3 cm. the magnetic field is of flux density 0.8T. there are 20 turns on the rotor, which turns at a rate of 12 revs per second.

    find the speed of the conductor pq - pq is just one side of the rotors length - this is 1.1ms^1 and i could do this part.

    then:
    calculate the emf induced in one turn of PQ when the rotor is horizontal.

    the answer in the book is 4.5 x 10^-2 V. i cant do this part - or at least i cant get to this answer.
