Sounds like anaemia to me. I'm afraid you'll have to have a blood test for that, but maybe the Doctor can prescribe you some anxiolytics (anti-anxiety) meds if you're a bit phobic.

Edit: Just to say I may be wrong, I'm not a doctor, you may have anything from a gastrointestinal flu to glandular fever, but get it checked out.

I think you might be anemic. you will need to see a doctor

It could be diabetes. You really need to see a GP for blood test.

it sounds like anaemia to me. I sound similar to you,
5'6", size 8, weigh 8.5 stone. I used to feel really faint if i stood up after sitting down, would be tired all the time and generally had no energy. There are vitamins you can take, you want to get more iron in your system, red meats are good for this!

You could pop into your local pharmacy; they can do on the spot diabetes tests if you're afraid of the docs? xx

sounds like anaemia. i had it after becoming a vegetarian due to a lack of iron in my diet. there's lots of iron in red meat and green vegetables. also you can buy vitamins to boost your iron levels. I'd see a doctor though just to make sure this is right. you can get some advice here on TSR but none of us are qualified doctors that can give you a proper diagnosis and you could be quite ill.

Why are you afraid of the doctor? If it's just your GP in particular you can ask to see a different one.
Like someone else said you can have a diabetes check at a pharmacy, but if they rule that out then you really do need to see your GP (if your scared can you get a friend or parent to go with you-it won't be as bad as you think it's going to be)

Put simply, you're not getting enough oxygen through your blood, usually caused by various deficiencies, folic acid, vitamin B12, and most commonly iron.

Well, i have anaemia so i know a bit about it. It's caused by a lack of red blood cells or less hemoglobin in the blood. It's fairly common in teenage girls and can seem worse when menstruating! Symptoms include weakness, fatigue, brittle nails and hair, shortness of breath. You can recover from it easily though or at least control it, eat red meats or green vegetables to get iron levels up, vitamins can also help with this!

Anaemia isn't too serious, I got told by my GP that a large percentage of teenagers have it, mainly girls (not sure of this though). I had it a couple of years ago, I was told it's just an iron deficiency, so I just took extra iron supplements for a while. I'm not sure if it's something you grow out of, but I no longer have any 'symptoms' like you said above.

yh i was anaemic a couple of years ago. I was really tired all the time and didn't feel like eating. But i went to the doctors and they gave me iron suppliments which helped a lot and also made me hungry so i ate more. spinach and liver are very good for iron.

I started to feel the effects days after changing my diet; just try some things out for yourself, they can't do you any harm, if you see no improvements then go see a doctor, after all, us here in TSR are hardly trained doctors!

It took me a few months to get better completely but i started to feel a lot more energetic after a couple of weeks. If you go to the doctors, they will give you what you need. Hope u feel better soon!
