    Cant particles in cyclotrons also demonstrate a degree of 'synchrotron radiation', as they lose energy by having to rotate!?

    Can someone explain to me simply how a spark/drift chamber works, please?! I am clueless!

    \our text books are the most pathetic things i've ever seen!

    revision guides give more detail!

    thats an understatement :rolleyes:
    my revision guide doesnt hav much detail on that...n as according to a friend some edexcel examiner said if u kno everythin on this guide u shud b ok, i refuse to worry :p:

    spark n drift chambers contain plates or wires at different high potentials...current flows where trail of ions form n computers use the positions of these currents to reconstruct the paths of the charged particles
