Mckinsey PST
I know there is another thread on Mckinsey rejections, but that has now deviated into talk of rejections from other companies etc.
Just wondering if anyone took the PST today and how it was. Similar to the kosher franks example? time pressured? tricky arithmetic? or just any other advice...

Does anybody know what the pass rate is on the PST? I took the one on Monday, had trouble with the first case, but subsequently managed to finish all the questions...
had the same experience... first case study definitely the hardest. would be interested to know too if anyone has any past experience of the pass rate?

The pass mark is very high, this is the second time I was invited to do their PST, finished 15 mins early and I don't think my mark would get much better with any extra time because I was confident with every answer, last time round my friend passed and was told that out of the 20 that took the test on that day only 3 were passed, remember thats 3 out of 20 very competent candidates not 3 out of 20 randoms from the street, out of 26 questions expect the pass mark to be circa 24, some have even rumoured its 100%. I'm not being all doom and gloom it's just the way it is, good luck guys

Not true....I've heard from many people who are at McK that the pass mark is usually around the 20 mark.

How did you finish with 15 min to spare?!
And I'm sure more than 20 take the test each day - there were a number of time slots for Monday and during my time slot there were at least 20..

Pretty sure that this is ******** and that our fellow here was just really gash.
I wasn't feeling very sharp when I took it, but I reckon I got at least 20, so should be ok. Let's wait and see.
Ok I didn't say 20 took the test full stop. It was 20 in the room I was in with my friend last year on that day. As for saying "loads and loads" were there when you took the test well I can only assume you took it on the same day as my flat mate as he said there were several time slots (he took it Mon 16th). I was there the week before, Tuesday 17th and there were only 6 of us for that time slot. Then again I've applied NYC office not London. And for the guy that said I'm talking gash, good luck I mean it sincerely.
I finished 15 mins early (probs closer to 13 I just didn't wish to be pedantic) because I've been in the situation before (a year earlier) when I had to guess the last 2 questions for running out of time thus I sped things up this time round, I'm good at these type of tests, hell I'm really really good but that comes through practice and I must say it helps that I already hold a very sexy job offer elsewhere and so the pressure to perform was rather deflated.
