Hey, could anyone give me a brief description of what the different colleges at Lancaster uni are like in terms of mix of people, state/privatly educated people, location/bars , quality of rooms etc and generally if certain colleges have a reputation for certain types of students, eg do all the quiet types go to a certain college and all the "partying" ones to another??

Also, could anyone tell me if it is easy/hard to get a part time job in Lancaster.

    Thanks in advance,

Hmmmm, I know that Lonsdale has a reputation for being a 'party' college, so if you want a quiet life try to avoid it lol!!!!

    Check out

I live near lancaster and it certainly isn't the biggest place in the world so I think jobs may be quite scarce in the city itself. Also, lancaster University campus is quite far out; you have to get a special bus to and from the city. However, the campus is completely self-contained and so there are loads of shops/bars etc on-site with plenty of job opportunities.

    Good Luck
