Yep. What was even more unfair is that when we played bench football, if one person forgot their trainers the whole year had to play in bare feet, in case someone stepped on someone else :facepalm2:.

Anyway, welcome to TSR btw . The welcome lounge probably isn't the best place for your question to be (I think it belongs in general discussion), so I've requested that a moderator moves the thread for you :h:. You might be interested in the wide range of forums we have there on a variety of different topics .

Yes in primary school, in secondary only if it's indoors and we're climbing stuff. As well as sometimes barefeet, secondary school girls also had to wear shorts and white polo shirts that made their breasts look huge.

It was an amazing lesson for us boys.

No, haha, I would be scared that people might step on my toes and my nail would half-break and then blood would pour out of my crushed toe
Or that the friction between my skin and the floor would rip my skin off my foot :frown:

Fun life as a kid
This thread is ******* riveting.

Wth? I always did PE in bare feet, even outside. I could run the 100m a good second faster in bare feet than with trainers :p:
Hi, Yes at my high school. They brought in a that no outside trainers to be worn in the gym. To this end when doing inside gym I always went bare foot and loved it. The only thing was my feet got really dirty
In my old school unfairly the girls had to do a form of dance and was told to go in barefeet and I saw one time a girl refusing to and the teacher personally going up to the student and taking her socks off and didn’t actually give them back until she was fully changed and the lesson was way past finished.
Sorta. I remember one lesson where we had to play this weird game. So half the class would hold up the parachute type thing. Then one at the time someone would drop down and quickly rip off their shoes and socks and go around and under the parachute thing in their barefeet. Then they would pick someone who was sitting on the bench to take their place and someone holding the parachute would go under. You could put back on your shoes and socks if you were finished but a lot of us chose not to. I’ll admit since i was the first person to go under it was a bit weird to have the whole class watching me taking off my shoes and socks but still it was fun
