Considering your belief that we can give you an adequate assessment of your ability to pass this course after viewing one post of yours I'm going to give you a hint.

Outlook not so good
yes you will get a grade..like shortcourse r.e

i have no idea depends on how much effort you put in lessona nd how good you are

theres normally a practical exam and a small theory one..

i got an A for gcse p.e and a C for compulsory gcse pe because i couldnt be asked

Thanks, i really appreciate you sharing your knowledge. MY teacher said i would not participate in an exam. What kind of practical work would i have to do? I am only capable of doing a number of sports to a given standard.

I ended up with a B. It was made up of practical and theory.

They usually assess you in lessons and give you a mark according to the level you are at, and I think (though I can't quite remember) your best few marks go forward to your overall grade.

The grade you get usually depends on your ability and knowledge in theory lessons.

At end of the day you have to do PE anyway in y10 and y11, so you may as well turn it into a GCSE
you're not doing the GCSE PE if you don't sit an exam. You are properly only doing the compulsory PE lessons, so just doing sport.

Do you do any lessons in the class room or is it you are simply doing sport in your lessons for it?
more than likely it's not a GCSE but the compulsory PE lessons the government says you have to do.

Stops kids getting fat ya know?

We don't have any lessons in the classroom. Currently all we are doing is sports and i suspect it will stay this way. Evidently assumed from my teacher. But what i'm confused by is are we really able to attain a qualification by the assessment of our physical abuility.

you get no qualification from it.

The government says that kids in school need to do at least an hour of structured exercise per week.

Aww,,,,, that's a real disappointment to me. I was hoping for an easy GCSE. Are you sure? have you undergone the pe compulsory?
It sounds like you're confusing certificate-level GCSE PE with the compulsory, core PE lessons.

Core PE lessons are irrelevant. They're compulsory as the government has decided that kids need at least an hour of exercise a week (still completely inadequate though I have to say), so you just do them and they never amount to anything.

If you were doing GCSE PE, then you would get an exam and final grade for it just like any other GCSE. However, they wouldn't make something like PE a compulsory GCSE, so I have to conclude that you're doing Core PE, which is irrelevant.

Thanks, i'm filled with discontentment about this conclusion but i have to say the respondents, Especially the one above me, have been extremely concise and explicit in explaining my ambiguous comprehension. I'm new on TSR and as this was my first thread, i've come to the conclusion that all of you who posted replies are exceptionally intelligent, wow! That's why i'm accepting your answers fully and dismissing possible fallacy. WOW!! thanks!

I'm a 2nd year in college sooo yeah I have
You're probably just doing what the majority of people at my school do - one hour of compulsory PE a week. A few people chose to do PE, but not many.

I did GCSE PE, and still had to go to the compusory ones, there was a huge difference, even in the practical lessons, as everyone doing the GCSE PE actually wanted to be there and cared about doing well, core PE was basically a free for all...
1. no 2. no 3. refer to question 2 4. my coursework done.
