    Source

Paxman: Can you not even give us an estimation?
Paxman: You have no idea how many illegal immigrants there are in the UK now?
Blair: It is impossible to say.

    Good timing.

Yes, when the Conservative party was using illegal immigration in the election campaign, there were no figures.

Now that Tony wants to get through his ID cards, we suddenly get them and are probably expected to shout - 'Oh no, we are swamped with failed asylum seekers! Let's give away some of our freedoms to get rid of them!'

Whatever your view on immigrants, it is another example of our great Leader Blair forgetting to tell the truth. Another fiasco in a long series of fiascos.

One's view on immigration has less to do than one's view about whether laws should be obeyed.

I dont believe that all laws should be obeyed. Take what thatcher passed through when she was in power - that unions are not allowed to strike or take action if their members' jobs are not affects. If bin men get a pay cut, teachers can't go on strike in suport of the bin men. This is law to be broken. We need mass strikes like those of the miner strike and the poll tax.

Not all laws should be obeyed imo.

Isn't incitement to commit offences an offence?

They can go on strike if they wish as they're not committing an offence of any sort, they just have no legal protection for the strike.

So you know for a fact that its because of that right? Because the Daily Mail says so? If you actually did some research you would discover that immigration fell the last two years in accordance with global immigration. At the same time other countries do have more immigrants than the UK and to say that the UK is a soft touch it's wrong. France, Italy even the Swiss have one of the harshest immigration policies anywhere yet they still get plenty of immigrants.

Look at the figures, 570 000. Speaks for itself really.

im not aware of what the daily mail says, nor do i care.

also, you appear to be missing the point of the thread. illegal immigrants is what its about. i find the idea that theres over half a million of them in the UK floating around unchecked and uncontrolled quite interesting even if you dont.

if your "research", that wasnt quoted, sourced or explained, was actually on illegal immigration, then feel free to post it for us all to see. if not, i suggest you move along.

Is it feasible...... Are there enough council houses, assuming they can get council houses, how would they do that? Immigrants usually don't have loads of ready to hand cash so where do they all live?

Illegal immigrants can get council houses and private property...

Can i just remind people that this is 570 000 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. This is a serious issue, and potentially very dangerous.

The last thing we need is liberals dodging the issue, claiming that there "isn't really a problem" and "it's okay because our system is worse than Spains anyway"...
