I saw live on television the Red Hot Chili Peppers performing a newer song not to long ago at the Video awards or something and they sounded amazing. The thing everyone has to remember is, and its a confirmed fact, is that the majority of the entertainment industry, especially performing arts, are usually addicted to drugs, or are not sober, etc, plus when people sing a lot like they do, there voices get a little "dry". If you catch a band coming back on tour from a long hiatus , they are usually very good. So many people in this world would disagree with me about the band Korn being a good band, but if you listen to an album song, then listen especially to a either older mid-late 90s live recording or the newer acoustic stuff they do live, Jonathan Davis' vocals are absolutly amazing, which is something you wouldn't think. He definatly has an issue with drugs and alcohol, but still pulls it off. The best rap group I have evr heard on a live recording were the Beastie Boys. No matter how good a vocalist someone is, everyone has theier bad days and you cannot base how good they are off of one performance, they are just regular people like anyone else. They get sick, tired, out of breathe, etc. Just my .02 .

Probably The Jonas Brothers, but they don't count.
Joe Jonas standing on a white piano singing along to the cheesiest songs ever? Yeah, cringeworthy to the max. My friends and I spent the whole time laughing at them
They were supporting Avril Lavigne, who also sucked live the second time I saw her (2008). She was okay in 2004 the first time. Not my thing anymore at all.

I have to disagree about Paramore, saw them in December and thought they were absolutely amazing live. That was the first time I saw them, I was meant to see them at one point in autumn 06 but couldn't go, would have been interesting to have something to compare it to. Judging by videos and the Manchester Apollo 08 CD though, they have improved since then. Hayley's voice is pretty magical now, and the thing about Paramore is, they're all so talented, it's not just Hayley with a bunch of random dudes.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. Great on CD. Absolutely horrible live.
