The Big Pink were dreadful also. It was so mind-numbingly boring, standing there while they droned on.

Agreed. It was just as if every single person in the arena were staring at them, with the thoughts "hurry up and finish so Muse can play!"

I saw Muse in '06, too, when The Noisettes supported. They were worse, though. I mean, okay, The Big Pink sounded the same in every song they played, but at least it was quite an unusual sound (albeit way too much synth), and it seemed no-one recognised them until they played their last song lol, but The Noisettes were absolutely dreadful.

But yeah... I saw Less Than Jake live. They sucked. I left before they even finished their set. Also, one of my favourite bands, Avenged Sevenfold, seem to be rarely strong live. Their DVD of their performance at Taste Of Chaos '08 in Long Beach was AMAZING, but everything else I've seen has been rather far from that level of sublime they exhibited in that show.

People started heckling them somewhat in Brum. I even somehow started to get a few people to heckle them with "Freeebirrrrd!!"

I hate the Noisettes, even more so when I realised, after that one song got big, who they were. But, at least at the Nottingham gig on the BHAR tour, the singer fell over an amp. Stupid cow :p:

A7X, unfortunately, I agree on too :/ When I saw them in 2006, they just stopped suddenly, and left, with no encore, and little more than a "goodnight", even if that! Bullets and Octane definitely stole the show that night. They did, however, redeem themselves somewhat next time they came to Nottingham.

Marilyn Manson - he is too old for this ****, he fainted twice on stage.

Oh dear.

Are you kidding? Dragonforce were mint when I saw them in 2006.

Blink 182 were TERRIBLE when I went to see them, but I think that was a lot to do with whoever was in charge of sound. The bass was painfully loud but I couldn't even hear their voices.

Rage Against The Machine.

They are so bad it's beyond words. They can't play their instruments properly, stumble around drunk and quite often fall off stage.

It's shocking compared to their studio performances. Look up some typica fire & the flames videos. It's appauling.

PJ and Duncan - piss poor vocally

Oh, well then, I must've got one of their good gigs. Cos everyone had a great time, and nothing like what you described happened. And I managed to meet Sam Totman afterwards, who was, of course, wasted

KOL at reading this year were dire. mostly because they started slagging us off and then threw a hissy fit.

Haha, maybe the drink affected your ears :P. Although, I have to say, their drummer is awesome.

RHCP were absolutely dire at Leeds Fest, actually just skimmed over and someone at Reading said the same thing, so it wasn't just leeds then!

Red Hot Chili Peppers at Reading 2007.
They were ****, most disapointed I've been at seeing someone live.

That actually made me laugh out loud, and I have no idea why.

Marilyn Manson at download 09 was an embarassment.

I saw Lady Gaga supporting Take That in July (ssh).

I was expecting her to be awful. She didn't let me down.

Rage Against The Machine were ***** at Oxegen two years ago. Brilliant musicians, but the performance was awful.

Queens of the Stone Age are also a horrible live act.

Motorhead too.

Bands worth seeing are Feeder, who always rock, and Meat Loaf, who rocks more than most bands half his age. Seen both more than 6 times now and they have never once disappointed me.

HIM - as bad as they are on CD, live they are worse.
Dragon Farce - why write and release songs you can't play live?

Yeah, I can't believe they slagged us off because they were crap. To be honest, their set was poorly suited to a festival stage; no matter how good you are, you can't just play a shortened version of your tour set because at a festival people want the classics as much as they want the new stuff. To make things worse, the whole thing was just so slow and dull that the only time the crowd went wild was when Four Kicks and Sex on Fire came on.
