Bangor (in N Wales) is quite a small town - I did my PGCE there and lived in the middle of Anglesey

im not from England so im not 100% sure if il ge tthis right, but i went for interview in St.Martins College, in Carlisle. the uni is in the town, but i think it is near countryside as well, from what i could see of scenery on train. and i think Carlisle is fairly north, near Scotland, but i could be wrong , i was only there for a day and half

Aberystwyth maybe? I know someone who went there and he was saying it's fairly quiet, and in Wales, so obviously you're surrounded by countryside.

Royal Holloway in Surrey is gorgeous. xx

my cousin studied at Durham and described it as a beautiful castle on a hill in the middle of frigging nowhere (she didn't like it that much, she would have been better off in Lonodon - where she later moved to lol)

Surely Lincoln is right in the middle of the city? The railway runs past it!

I thought Lincoln was a rural place, as it's quite small on the map compared to other places on the map. I guess you guys are right then about Lincoln being a city.

Lincoin is a small city but it still has a population of 85,000 so there is no way on earth it can be rural.

Alright then. I havn't been there before, and going there for university. I've been there to an open day, but not into the city. Do you think it's a good city (if you've been there before)? Do you think it's a good university?

It's very pretty, it's basically york on a smaller scale, a castle and a cathedral, pebbled streets.

Nightlifewise, there's not a lot going on, couple of clubs, few bars, some good shops as well. Not too expensive.

If you like small then you'll like it. The university is on the river that runs through the town, basically in the center.

Lincoln is nice
