I'm 16 and I've never had a b/f. I've gone to an all-girls school for secondary school and it's 20 miles away. I don't know any boys outside school and I really don't have a clue with the whole flirting/going out thing. I am going to the local school's state sixth form in september and I don't want to act the wrong way around the opposite sex. Is anyone else in a similar situation? I would much appreciate anyone's perspective on this. Thanks
I didn't have a bf until I was 16 and then it only lasted a matter of days. Then I had a two year wait before my first serious relationship, which I'm still in. Don't worry about it, because worrying just gives out the wrong vibes.

I never had a girlfriend until I was 16, waited for years for the girl who I knew I wanted, and we've now been together 18months & counting.

awwwww UGS: TO THE LONLEY PEOPLE!

it really sucks doen't it when u think of and see all the people together who have someone etc. And there us all alone, why can't everyone just find someone and be happy, some peopl esimply have to high standards, likes people who jsut go afta big breasted blonde leggy women (sterotype i know) but ooo it's jsut so dam unfair!!!!
It is unfair, i know but we have to have high standards too that way it makes us fell better. At least that way we are lonely out of choice, and can spend the day admiring pictures of Brandon Flowers!!!

I was in the same situation, went to an all girls school, going on to mixed sixth form college, except I didnt know any lads outside the family. The best advice I can give you is not to look for a relationship with guys, but for friendship with guys first. Then you'll become mor comfortable with the opposite sex an who knows and boyfriend may come along later.

I made the fatel mistake of only talking to guys I fancied, trying to gwt them to like me, which really did not get me anywhere. Then i decided just to try and be friends with guys. And guess what? five days later im being asked out by one of the most popular guys in college. And about 2 months on, we are still together. Plus I have alot more friends, and most of my mates now are guys.

I go to an all girls' 2ndary school and i always find myself worry about this too. Although the 6th form i'll be going to won't be boys and girls together in classes, they have the same common rooms and hang out together...

I'm not actually looking for boyfriends or anything. i just want to have a guy for a friend, as in, quite close friend. But I've got no idea how to act around them. I've got two friendish guys, one of them i became friends with by exchanging insults (hehe...) and the other when i was young and really REALLY boyish. But i doubt that's what normal teenage boys are going to look for.

i have a really wacky sense of humor, and i only show it to people when i feel close to them (or hyperactive). so normally, around a guy i'm really shy and quite. So if there's nothing to talk about, there's going to be really awkward silences...

Argh never mind, i don't even know what i'm getting at here.

I'd never had a boyfriend when I was 16 either. Don't worry, it may seem like you'll be single forever, but you really won't.
