I generally find people who would be described as funny by their peers absolutely ******* tedious. Yes, of course, humour is good but a great many people completely overdo it and end up looking like utter prats.

Not the case for my girlfriend. Not to say I'm not funny, many think I'm really funny but my jokes require prior knowledge and a little thought to get it...which says a lot about her :rolleyes:

This is true but everyones opinion is different.

I can tell you comedian X is hilarious but another may say he's the worst comedian ever.

It's all down to opinion. It's more to do with happiness I believe.

If your boyfriend/girlfriend may you happy then they are the person for you. :smile:

I find such people who make an effort to make others laugh almost as their primary function to be very tedious and in general they get treated like dancing monkeys anyway.

He's certainly funny - I wouldn't want to go out with a guy who wasn't - but then I have a friend who makes everyone literally cry with laughter on a daily basis.
