Converse - are mens and womens the same?

Basically, i went to Office today and bought white, size 5 converses from the mens section. I asked the worker if there was really a difference between men and women converses she said no they are exactly the same. (Btw there wasnt a womens section). When i tried them on they looked a bit big on me and they did feel loose. Inside the converse it rights mens size 5, Gender=unisex. A year ago i bought black size 4 converses (again, from the mens section) which were a bit tight. Im really confused on whether theres a size difference with buying a womens size five and a mens size five. Please help.

I went to France last year, and funnily enough I ended up in a different country than I did when I went to Germany. :confused:

They were a size bigger and they didn't fit? Oh the horror!

I think the OP is asking whether there is a difference between mens size 5 and womens size 5. Either that, or they've got a bit missing.

I'd imagine that mens shoes would be a bit wider...but what do I know?

I get why you're confused tho, I just got some grey hi-tops, I asked for a size 3, it says 3 inside them but on the box it says mens 3, womans 5 :s-smilie:

What I meant was, the size 3 came from the Junior section ... so they weren't actually mens. I thought men sizes started at like 7 or something :s-smilie:

Do I actualy make sense? :s-smilie:
