The thing is it's hard to determine what a boyfriend/girlfriend really is:
In primary school it might be someone you held hands with once and shared your lunch with. But then once in high school you wonder if that was really a boyfriend/girlfriend. i start counting from my first sexual experience (not first time i had sex, but the first bf with whom i did more than just hold hands, little pecks kind of thing). Which is when i was 14. He was 19. Eeew.

In your opinion, I would say going out for someone in a week in year 6 which consisted of not even saying hello to them or going out with someone for a day and then being dumped becuase I wouldn't kiss them cos they smoked (I was 14) dont count, probs more serious then that is!

Well at my age, a proper girlfriend would be someone you introduce to all your friends, to your family so that pretty much everyone you know considers you as an item.

I would say that goes for me too (apart from boy and maybe not family - we dont really introduce them!)
