feeling a bit down..

hey..Just feeling a bit crap-i've been finding it really hard to get over this guy i was going out with...it ended as he said he didnt want to be in a relationship with anyone, i had a conversation with someone who is similar to him and i felt better figuring that some people just don't like being in a relationship. I got on well with my ex at a party last week but last night found out from a friend that between we broke up and now he's had another girlfriend.... :frown:
Sorry to hear it - but he doesn't sound like he's worth your time. Be friends, but don't stress about it, and try and have fun (however difficult it may seem right now).

Don't stress over men, you can be happy without one.

The worst thing when you're getting over someone is to dwell on it. Be strict with yourself - do something to take your mind off it completely. If I'm worried or upset about something, I like to write about something random - a description of a tree maybe, or just plot out something entirely unrelated. Get into it and it's a fantastic distraction.

Or there's this old cliche: the best way to get over a guy is to get under another. Honk.

I think i've quoted the points you need to focus on. He lied to you. There are better guys out there who won't lie to you, try not to be upset over this one, use distractions i guess.

Despite the best way to get over a breakup being to forget about that person completely, I would never even want to do that, let alone be able to. Memories are important to me and I would never want to forget someone who meant a lot to me and the times we shared.

hey-thankies for all the replies, I thought i was doing quite well trying to distract myself but when i was told that it has brought it all back and it feels as bad as when we actually broke up...he's going to africa at the end of the summer, i hope i get over it all by then!

Im sure you'll get over him! It cant be nice knowing that he said he didnt want to be with anyone and then ends up finding another girl!!
All i can say is put your best foot forward and make him realise what hes missing. just focus on being you and dont even think about blokes for the time being

hey i have been in the exact same situation but i found the best way to get over it is simply to just stop letting yourself think about him and go out and try and fin someone else. He has moved on and you have to. i went out and i found some one else but now im down cos at first i was quite distant towards him and then i realised i really liked him. But now he has just met someone from the past, but the good thing is after 4 months of crying for my ex im not, now my mind is on this other guy.
