fishing is just as bad as fox hunting

first of all, i recently found out that people wait around for ages trying to catch a fish then after ******* it up they put it back in the water. wtf? you can eat fish you know, ******* waste if you ask me.

now i wanna know why a lot of people are against fox hunting and **** but don't care about fish. i mean, you're not eating either...

yeah i'm just asking why people would have different opinions. i in fact think that the reasons behind killing anything don't matter; killing for fun is not any more 'wrong' than killing for food.

A lot of fishers don't actually kill the fish, but simply put them back in the water.

I also disagree, fox hunting involves foxes being hunted for hours, and most likely being ripped apart by dogs. Fishing is comparatively very tame.
If you'd like, we'll ban every animal from killing each other for food too?

I don't agree with fishing for sport where barbs or any kind of inhumane hook is used. If you're not going to do it without hurting the animal at all and put it back, or get it out of the water and humanely kill it for food, please don't fish.

I actually think the way we tend treat fish we hunt/catch to eat is pretty awful. The way most of them die is akin to us killing cattle/sheep/chickens by throwing them into a lake and letting them drown. Pretty sick.

I'm actually pro-fox hunting, but that's for a range of complicated reasons that I've covered extensively in previous threads. Do a search if you fancy getting into a debate with me about it.
