Do people choose to be born Down Syndrome choose to be born 'mutated' because their ancestors were caught in Nagasaki during the Second World War?
that's if you look at it as a defect, but they do it for pleasure O_o

How is that relevant. DS can also be caused my translocation which occurs as a result of random fertislisation and natural selection. Also, due to the many mutagens. Just so you know.

surely homosexuality can involve natural intercourse, how can a penis be designed for a rectum? there's no purpose for it to be in there

yes, a penis in the rectum
penetration in the rectum stimulates the prostate ¬_¬ which might give a better orgasm than friction along the penis

in reply to your request for sceintific studies Mad Caddie....

these are just a few of the numerous studies out here.

December 1997 "Hormones and Behavior," researcher Viveka Mansukhani, from Cornell University, published a fascinating article on homosexuality in small birds called zebra finches.

Primatologist Paul L. Vasey, from the University of Montreal, has been examining homosexual behavior in monkeys called Japanese macaques.

Charles Roselli and his colleagues from the U.S. Department of Agriculture have been investigating homosexual behavior in rams. 8.5%

It is often brought up that a prominent gay scientist....i cant recall his name, simon something wrote that homosexuality in animals is not true, sporadic exmaples of same-sex sex aree evident but long term sexual preference of a homoseuxla nature is not.

unfortunately this was written before the studies by the department of agriculture actually discovered the opposite by seperating those rams which did engage in homosexual sex and placing them in a pen by themselves with just female sheep. they observed no sexual contact for a long period of time. when placed in a pen with other rams again they observed same-sex sex again. also they conducted a study with 'homosexual' rams where all the tohers were allowed to eat, thus their rears were facing outwards, a ram was free to move around....the homosexual rams chose to mount other rams, not female sheep, they actually kept walking past the fmeales to get ot the males.

But if homosexuality occurs among animals, does that necessarily mean it is natural for humans?

This growing body of science has been increasingly drawn into charged debates about homosexuality in American society, on subjects from gay marriage to sodomy laws, despite reluctance from experts

The article is mostly just speculation and oppinion.

Well, humans are animals. Your firngers weren't naturally developed to type on a key-board, but they're good at it so we do it: should we be forbidden to do this, as it obviously isn't natural behaviour? Come to that, building computers and the internet obviously aren't natural behaviour either.

    Reluctance for what from experts?

The article is mostly just speculation and oppinion.

Where is teh evidence, its all psychological mumbo jumbo which trys to prove. Sexuality is like Marmite. Your either supposedly homo, or heterosexual. There is no in between.
psychological mumbo jumbo.....great way to argue!!

and who says you are either homosexual or heterosexual?? it certainly cant have been a psychologist as you wouldnt be spouting something that is just "mumbo jumbo" now would you.

    lol -

but so what about the prostrate? - a donkey being anally penetrated would probably enjoy the feeling, but it would fail to be natural

why are you quoting it to support your argument then?

and i thought you asked for the scientific evidence, this article may not be scientific evidence but it does mention studies in the animal kingdom which myself and other posters have given just a few examples of.....furthermore, once soemone did decide to rise to your challenge to show you the proof, the actual credible scientific proof you move swiftly on to ask just because it is present (you are very easy to convince it seems) does it mean its natural for humans...
