depends what u enjoy most i think. further maths is a really good qualification, but people that normally take it are those who want to study maths or something like physics at university.

Unless you want to do maths or a related course like physics or computer science, you won't need further maths, so if you want to do Mandarin, do that. It will be something different and it will definitely make you stand out.
I'd agree - although I'd keep further maths in mind incase mandarin 'doesn't agree with you', if you find it too hard it may be better to do the maths course.

You have to choose what you enjoy most - If you enjoy solving problems and tackling logic, I'd imagine that Further Maths would be an incredibly rewarding course. If you feel that you would perhaps prefer overcoming the challenges of an incredibly overcomplicated script, and would like to learn a useful skill for when visiting China, I'm sure that Mandarin would be a good bet. I would personally take Further Maths, since it reinforces your knowledge in other subjects (and also because I'm learning Hindi), but both are quite relevant and strong A-levels to have, as long as you aren't doing something that specifically requires them at University (e.g. Computer Science or Mandarin)...

    Hope that helps!
