Ok, some background information on me: I am fairly bright, I have a logical thinking brain and can do calculations fairly quickly in my head ( I am not bad at Maths at all, though I am not great ). I am decided on the following subjects for AS: Biology, Chemistry and Geography, however I need a forth subject. I want to choose Maths, but, I am not too confident with my ability, although I think if I work hard enough I could pull off a good grade (I also have support form my aunt who is a Mathematician). My college offers the following Mathematic subjects: Pure Mathematics AS, Mathematics - Pure and Statistics AS, Mathematics - Pure and Mechanics AS, Mathematics Double (also called Pure and Applied) AS, Use of maths AS ONLY. I am considering a career in Biochemistry. Could someone tell me what each of those courses involve, and some information on the academic ability required for each, and also how much universities regard each course, and which would be most relavent to what I want to study at Uni, and which would complement my chosen courses the best. Thanks in advance.
