Well being able to get into a car without damaging it kind of defeat the purpose :s-smilie: I have no idea, sorry!

How did you lock it if the keys were in the car the whole time and they're your only set? Fail.

call ur insurance people up? :frown:

if it's an N reg, it's got to have winding windows? i'm sure if you push down hard enough on them, they open.

failing that, smash the cheapest and easiest to replace window.

It locks from the inside, its not central locking.

This may work but I wouldn't give it much hope.

Ah, I see. I swear I saw a programme once when this was the joke or something, where the guy spent ages trying to get inside his 'locked' car as he'd left his keys inside but then realised it wasn't locked.

Aaanyway, some of the suggestions on here sound pretty viable, and sorry for misunderstanding! Fail on my part.

Well yeah I would but I really need to use my car in the morning and locksmiths don't usually come out at this time, so I wondered if anyone knew any tricks to get into it!!

There's this thing which worked for me once in India, so it might be worth having a go. Remove the rubber stripping in between the door frame on the outside and the window. Then get a thin-enough piece of wood and slide it down the gap. If you have any luck, the door should unlock.

My Mum did this in her Ford Ka - she called out the AA and they came and opened the door really easily with a piece of metal or something! :eek3:

Just wondering, how?

no central locking and winding windows - best bet is a coat hangar and trying to unhook the door pins.other than that, short of an opener down the window sil (a bit tricky).

I can unlock my drivers door with a 5p coin :awesome:
Always worth carrying a spare tennis ball with older peuguot's... cut it slightly more than in half (so you have a slightly bigger half), place this over the keyhole and slam it as hard as you can with your hand... this forces air into the lock mechanism and pushes the lock up. If your locks are particularly stiff, this won't work, but always worth a try! SP

Only to be used if you have the owners permission!

I don't have any locks whatsoever on mine. It has cunningly designed handles that you have to turn the wrong way as a security thaang (I'm not even joking) :awesome:

Anyway, yeah. OP! How did you get in? Am curious.
