A mud monster is walking down the street. he finds 3 coins and puts all 3 in his sack. he then continues walking, and then comes across 5 coins, and puts them all in his sack. he then empties his sack.

how many coins does the mud monster have when he empties his sack?

    NOT 8.

    incorrect.

the mud monster wouldnt ahve any coins himself, coz he has emptied the sack. the coins have fallen. he does not actually have them.

    HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    HE HAS ZERO COINS!

    THATS THE ANSWER!

if it said "how many coins does the mud monster now have in his sack after he picked up the 5 coins", the answer wud hav been 8.

but you didn't say "how many coins does he have after he empties his sack", you said "when he empties his sack". and when he empties it, he has 8 coins.
