Hi, i need some help on the maths coursework emmas dilemma. If anyone has done it could they help me with any formula ect????

i did this for gcse.its not that bad once you've got the idea.you need to look up factorials and permutations.i.e. 2! = 2 x 1 and 3! = 3 x 2 x 1

Also, you need to consider whether letters are repeated in the word you're trying to do. Emma only has 3 different letters whereas Lucy has 4 different letters, so the number of permutations of the words will be different as well.

Its a long time since I did it (nearly 3 years ago now) but i'll try and remember if u need any more help
