Yes to the aching cheek and the nose thing or at least they make my nose feel funny sometimes.

Aching cheeks and jaw definitely. I've got to have one of mine taken out soon - bah. They're growing sideways into my other teeth, sob.

Ahhh, i be the expert on wisdom teeth. for about a year i thought i was just getting toothache (ive had quite a lot of fillings in the past, and eat a lot of sweets...tee hee) anywho.. it became unbearable - not only pain at the back of my mouth, but my whole jaw too. eventually my dumb dentist said i had to go to hospital, and i had them taken out 2 weeks ago (the proper put-to-sleep thing too!). Coughed up blood for a few hours, and am now fine! no more pain for moi.ever.

Slightly off your initial question tho...my point is.... you MUST mention it to your dentist! theyre probably just pushing a bit, or still growing. x

Any medics out there....one of my wisdom tooth has popped up, but the other 3 havent and it feels really weird! the dentist said if the dont by the age of 21 i'll have to have the pulled out.

When mine was coming up it swelled and the dentist gave me some anti-biotics.

Ah good, it sounds like it is my wisdom teeth causing the trouble. I have two completely through on one side...have been for a while. But the other side is causing all this - yes, if it keeps up, I think I'll be taking a trip to the dentist. My cheek feels all swollen (it isn't) and it's getting on my nerves!

This may sound like a silly question, but could wisdom teeth coming through cause the following:
*Feeling of pressure under the eye
*Aching cheek
*numb nose (yes, really)

I have a feeling that's whats causing it all for me, but I wondered if anyone else has had similar things happen?

How strange is this, nothing was wrong with mine but my dentist said I needed them out anyway!!

just wondering, can your wisdom teeth coming through mess up the alignment of your teeth? As in, did I put myself through years of braces to get perfect straight teeth only for them to be ruined a year later?

I like my teeth :frown:

I guess it could cause acheing cheeks etc.... I've heard that getting your wisdom teeth through is painful. I guess it effects people different ways so if the pain becomes unbearable, take some paracetomol and go and see your dentist about it.

Ive had all my wisdom teeth through and I experienced earache, pressure under the eyes, jawache and general feeling unwell. Try ibuprofen if you havent done already, it works better than paracetemol, also you can try clove oil (apply some to the tooth), apparantly that helps too. It does smell/taste bad though!

Starstrike- I had braces when I was 15 and my teeth were perfectly straight before my wisdom teeth came through- now they are back to how they were before I had the braces! Obviously I dont know if this is the same for everyone but it just made me think "what a waste of time!"

Exactly the same for me. And it's worse cos I can't wear my retainer, so they're just getting worse.

Well, I took your advice and rang the dentist. But the first time they could get me an appointment is next Thursday! I'm seriously considering going private, even though I can't really afford it.

Yes they do!!!! I had braces too and now i have 1 wisdom tooth and 2 coming through and my teeth have started going wonky arghh how annoying!

I hate wisdom teeth for mucking up my formerly perfectly straight front teeth! I'm not quite as badly off as some of you because I haven't alreadly had to go through having braces already but I'm now facing the prospect of having to wear braces at uni which will be a little weird :thumpdown

I've only had one wisdom tooth through so far and it has been bad enough, so I am dreading what the other 3 will do! The really frustrating thing is my dentist sent me to get it taken out, which would have solved the problem but they refused to saying that nowadays they only removed infected wisdom teeth. Why??? :bawling:

Oh well, it's nice to know other people have the same problem!
