Best nightclub in Nottingham?

Going for a night out in Nottingham next weekend.

What is the best general (non specialist) nighclub. Looking for a wide variety of music and some attractive girls :biggrin:

ok, well i would advise the following (from a non gay point of view)
you gotta go in the 'pitcher piano' - its a church turned into like a bar - kinda expensive but classy birds, and the best bit - theres a bloke in the toilets who offers u free mints n aftershave lol so thats an added bonus.
as far as nightclubs go....'the works' is very popular.

the only one i have ever heardof is rock city. but that also comes with the phrases hit hole and crap.

but in liverpool those words mean its a good place, well if you're into anything that isnt mainstream it does.

For a general non-specific nightclub Id say either The Works as someone mentioned earlier, or 'Oceana' which is a brand new club, pretty big too.

I hated Ocean when I went :frown:

But it was just after exams and totally packed and I couldn't breath, let alone move. if you're into cheese it might be your thing.

Oceania seems to be the in thing these days though.

personally, i would have chosen Rock city, Pit and Pendulum, Rescus rooms and then followed by @D2 then NG1, but he didnt want goth and gay bars so i went for the chavvyest places i could think off

I don't mind chavvy places sometimes, but mode was beyond me. I got hit with a bottle the minute I walked in there, and some bloke said he'd knife me 'cos he was convinced I'd stolen his weed. Then I fell down the stairs to the toilet. Fantastic! :p:

i think it was probably just a one off bad experience, its not normally that bad, you should have gone across the road to Reflex and try and get to the toilets in there!!! no chance!

Out of the "super clubs"
Mode - Full of rude boys and gangsters
The Works - Cheesy, and full of middle aged chavs on weekends
Ocean - Again, like the works but sleezier
Media - My favorite, lots of students, and quite good music

Smaller, Better bar/clubs
The lost weekend - Great atmosphere, and good music
Dogma - More of a bar, but good music and good place to sit and chill
The Bomb - Amazing gigs, and good music
The cookie club - Quite good, lots of students
Rock City - Ive never been, because I dont like the type of people that go here.
Also worth going to the pit and pendulum

We went to reflex too! The reflex in Reading's pretty nice, but Nottingham's is TINY and the revolving dancefloor was full of 15 yr olds while old men stood around the edges perving. It was not nice!

tis true, the pole is best, when you see all the teenage chavs on there trying to look sexy, you just got to laugh

the pit and the pendulum is a grogeous pub... they have mini thrones at the tables... its all edgar allen poe theme that one. part of the eerie pub co.
the have gorgeous cocktail last time i went - 7 deadly sins

i want to go back to nottingham :frown:
