I was wondering if anyone would like to be a member of, or help co-found a TSR Pink Floyd Society.
If anyone is, just PM me and we can get started!

Being a rabid PF fan this may be a bit of a biased view (as you learn in GCSE History) but I think that perhaps more than any other band PF are unique, inspirational and generally a brillinat band, both in terms of innovation and their actual sound. Perhaps no other band has contributed so much to music, with deeply intellectual lyrics, emotive melodies and music which can appeal to people of all ages, creeds and races. I urge anyone who is a genuine fan of PF to join, and also welcome people new to PF, or who have never heard of PF (just please let me know about this in your PM and we will educate you in the ways of Floyd!).
As an added bonus to members, I am ready to give out some cool PF avatars! (Sound like bribery?)

P.S. In your PM you can include your favourite album

    Pink Floyd at Live8!

Well, unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard about PF's performance at Live8 (which has been ranked most popular in a recent BBC poll!). This performance was even more inspiring considering the fact that the band reunited with Roger Waters after their split up after many disputes years ago. The fact that people can get over their differences and come together to help other human beings in need is a refreshing thing to see today.
For anyone that missed their performance, I have a copy of the video and can email it to you! Make sure that you have enough space in your inbox (I suggest you use a gmail account). The video is about 100 MB, but it plays in windows media player fine or on a Mac.
You can either PM me your email or post it here if you're not scared of spam etc.

Sorry about no activity for a while, had to sort out a few personal issues which arose from prom night. NO PREGNANCIES WERE INVOLVED. Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to email anyone the Pink Floyd Live8 vid, it is too big for gmail or anything else out there. So instead, I'll post the .torrent file for downloading it. You'll need a BitTorrent program like Azureus or Bitlord to get it. It's worth downloading these types of programs anyway, there are lots of rare pink Floyd songs and bootlegs only available through these networks.

The floyd heard on Piper is a very different one to the Floyd in later records. many people attribute this tot he departure of the prodigical Syd barett, after a mental breakdown attributed to drugs. He has been credited as the "lost genius" of Pink Floyd. Many people are die hard fans of the early Barrett Floyd, and discount all their later work as inferior. personally, I like both their early and l;ater work, maybe their later work slightly better. Give their later stuff, such as The Wall, a chance. Maybe you'll like it. Each to their own I suppose, I can completely understand where you're coming from.

A lot of people seem to think Animals is Pink FLoyd's best work, personally, Animals is one of my least favourite albums. Like Pollo Diablo, I find Wish you were here a great album.
