A dream has made me move on

Yesterday I had this dream that I met my first love and I finally told her I liked her but we both knew it was too late to be together. She was holding a baby with someone else sitting next to her (he was from my school and probably her partner). This guy, I knew anyway and I wasnt jealous at all. He even liked the fact I admitted my past love for her because she told him about me. Before leaving, I wished them both well and said that as long as she was happy, thats all I cared about. She asked where I was going and I said to this place but the road isnt straight (think I meant like a path or what the plans for the future) Anyway it felt so real, its kind of made me move on in life. Im single and the day before this dream, it felt like she was the one and I missed the chance but a dream has like helped me move on. Lol, I helped myself. :biggrin:

Ive always wanted to tell her I love her, especially before going uni because I feel I would never see her again after but I dont want to now, because I believe its like she knows as though this was a shared dream and we communicated. :confused:

Dreams are so weirdly funny. You wanna knows whats even weird. Well after leaving her I reversed all the lyrics to a song I related to her (Mcfly - Unsaid things). "Ive still got so many unsaid things that I wanna say" became "Ive got no unsaid things that I ever need to say" etc.

This must be the most irrelevant,silliest TSR thread and I wanted to share it with you as well as being bored. :smile:

I had a dream I was in the original Starsky & Hutch, and I shot someone three times and killed them. Weird huh? (It even had the same funky music playing in the background)

there are lots of theories about dreaming as problem solving, i have done this in psychology, and there is evidence that people can improve performance on specific mental tasks and that dreams can alleviate the traumatic experience of eg divorce. a chemist called Kekule even claimed to confirm the structure of benzene via a dream when he couldn't solve the problem in day time.

i dream solutions to problems, especially if i hav just been doing some homework and i hav a problem wiv a question. almost always i will hav a dream that nite and i will dream me solving the problem. i'll wake up immediately after the dream and i have to get up in the middle of the nite and rite it down before i forget. it is really wierd but i put it down to my subconcious mind carries on working on the problem wen im asleep and wen it works it out it comes to me as a dream! does anyone else do this!?
