France would like to suggest to the URF nations that this is a great opportunity to build bridges with the DPRK with a view to normalising relations and sharing policy initiatives. Let it not be wasted.

Nous, en Venezuela ne croyons pas que la RDPK (sp) a la volonté pour reformer. Communisme n'inclue pas la dictature héréditaire.

France would like to applaud the Venezuelan representative's excellent French.
I think it's hypcritical for capitalist nations to call for limits on party power in countries where a left wing party has legitimately won a free and fair election.

Of course parties should have limts even if 99% of people support them. Would Bulgaria support killing a minority if the majority voted for a party which advocated this?

Bulgaria does not call upon Singapore to limit the powers of corporations in her country.

Well we do. We believe in law and order.

Of course not. But this issue should not be targetted at URF member states.

Merci beaucoup. Although it stops there

Why? Either way i was asking Bulgaria not the URF. Singapore believes that if a state says something they should be able to back it up. I think its a crucial question for the URF on what type of democracy they support, they have a responsibilty to millions of people. A 'not appropriate time' type excuse is unacceptable. Its a typical establishment type response, so much for Venezula going against the norm of international relations.

Why?
I should have clarified. I meant specifically targetted at us.

Venezuela supports free and fair democracy but this is made harder by foreign interference as the Cuban example shows and as US meddling in Venezuela shows. Venezuela opposes entry of the DPRK into the URF precisely because of the democratic defeicit which exists in that country.

Your just repaeting the same rhetoric. Do you support constitutional limits on what a government can do to an individual, for example do you support free speech, the liberty to set up a business, complete freedom of the press etc.

Yes I do. But I find it rather odd that you highlight these worries in a socialist group upon hearing of the victory of socialists in Bulgaria. Did you say the same upon George Bush being elected?
Yes I do.

Yes. I oppose all abuses of power wherever they happen to be

I look forward to it when Singapore cautions the US against infringments on freedom of speech and civil liberties.

So do I. If there is a need Singapore will act.

The UN should set an example of the type of democracy we support. Without true democracy great problems arise.

Saudi Arabia wishes to see diplomatic relations between Singapore and Bulgaria resumed, and is concerned at the current crisis. We ask the honourable representative for Singapore to clarify these remarks. Does he mean that democracy should be forcibly imposed upon those countries that fall below the standard, in which case Saudi Arabia must protest strongly against his remarks, and may consider further action.

Bulgaria is hugely grateful for the remarks made by the Honorable gentleman representing Saudi Arabia. Bulgaria sees this as a moment to build upon the relationships between the two countries.

Bulgaria, after a short pause, is now ready to cast its vote in building the alliance agreement rules and regulations.

Saudi Arabia thanks the honourable representative for Bulgaria for his comments. We place great importance on our relations with European countries, not least Bulgaria. We believe that you have great potential in this world of ours and would like to develop closer ties to both our mutual benefits.

Unfortunately the representative for Singapore seems to be absent, and therefore unable to clarify his remarks.

Honourable member for Bulgaria - Can you please submit a clause for a new constitution, more than one if you like.
