interview for MA Social Work @ London South Bank University

Hi all ! I would like some advice if possible. I have an interview at London South Bank University for the MA in Social Work, and was wondering what kind of questions do you think are they likely to ask? Can anyone tell me about their experiences?

Is it a group or individual interview?
A group one usually involves being given a case study which you discuss together and your communication skills are observed, as well as your ideas/comments on the scenario.

For an individual one you may be asked general questions such as why you want to be a social worker, why are you suited to it etc, as well as more specific ones. You should research some theory and also current issues in social work, www.communitycare.co.uk is a good resource. Two key things at the moment are anti-oppressive practice and multi-disciplinary working, so are good things to be aware of for interviews
