    Statistics, definitely.

We can't comment on exam boards, it's not like we've done several...

    OMG mechanics! ZERO complicated equations.

Only about 7 concepts to learn and then you can do any question they could ever throw at you. It's great. I am not great at pure maths but I practiced loads of papers and know I got 90% at least.

if you're mathematically able you'll prolly find both of them quite easy (first modules anyway)

if you're doing physics do mechanics

I think that mechanics is easier personally, but if your doing the full A-level in maths then you could do Mechanics 1 in the first year, then Statistics 1 in the second year which is much easier than doing a Statistics 2 or a Mechanics 2 aparently. The mechanics is basically physics, but if your doing a subject like business then statistics would probably be better. Which subjects are you doing as these could help you choose.

Actually S2 is easier than S1. Personally i think mechanics is easier because it's pretty logical. You should maybe consider what you want to do in uni

mechanics! the questions tend to be quite repetitive, so do as many past papers as you can get your hands on and you'll be grand and yeah, if you do physics they complement each other well

you can learn and revise statistics in just a few days ... unlike mechanics where practice=perfect

true...i reccomend doing what i did - 4 mechans mods and 2 stats...that way you can combine the pleasures of mechanics with the easiness and easy ums of stats, lol...Stats can truly be revised in a few days...i revised S2 in tow days this year...learnt more stuff in those two days than my shiit teacher was able to teach us in 4 months!

The problem with stats is that one careless mistake and you have messed up the whole question. Mechanics is easier and the questions are always the same, and they are too bad anyway

Stats is a process: do the book & learn to put data into formulae.

Mechanics is more interesting; perhaps a bit harder, but more like Maths!

    ...and more like thinking!
