Nope. Polish and Russian are totally different.

Example: We shall examine the word "penis" in both languages.

    Polish: huj (who-juh)
    Russian: Член (ch-len)

Very different. Polska has a different alphabet also, whilst Russia uses the cryllic alphabet.

EDIT: Sorry for me tame example.

Bist du, homosexuelle, Markus? Heh only kidding - My uncle is fluent fluent in German, and I like to learn parts of it. It's a very agressive language but I like it. I had a choice between learning German and Dutch. I chose Dutch for two reasons:

    a) Easier to learn
    b) Not many people speak it compared to German.

Weird reasons to choose it over Deutsh I know, but I wanted to learn a minority language. Ik es een hoerje mongool sletten!

It is Nederlanse. Kanker aap translates into Monkey with cancer in Nederlandse. I would love to learn a scandinavean language. I know that bröst means tit in Sweedish... Kanker could well mean cancer in Danish, I don't know much about skandi languages.

It looks nothing like Skandi though tbh - Scandinavean has a hint of German (it is a Germanic language) yet it has more "uft" "froo" and extended vowel pronounciation, which is indicated by the oumlouts, i.e. ö
