Similarly, if Utd have more footballing ability, shouldnt they be able to beat a team in at least one of two games? Once you could put down to luck... but not twice... That is my argument...

Palace knocked us out of the Carling Cup; do they have more ability than the reigning Champions of Europe? The League never lies.

Indeed its all about getting to a final, being top in a table. How you get there and how many games you lose/win is irrelevant. Its the end result that matters.

Edit; I haven't worded that quite right but I am sure (hopefully) you all know what I mean

Personally i find the whole - richest club in the world, yet cant win the Premiership saga more shocking.

If you hadnt ****ed up twice against Blackburn and hadnt got annihilated by Chelsea, you could still win the league - i like to think we played a big part in preventing that happening...

Man UTD getting 70000 at home games and spending phenominal amounts of money, Blackburn getting 20000 at home games and spending 5 million on new players a season - 4 places between the two teams.... i know whose season i would find most shocking.
man-u won a cup this season, blackburn didn`t, man-u will finish 2nd, blackburn 6th, and real madrid are now the richest club in the world... nice to see how up to date you are...

mancred, are you saying chelsea are top of the league cos they have the most money and man utd werent top of the league before cos they didnt have the most money before?

Im a united supporter by its a bit obvious that the top football clubs are just companies now

supernova, what i am saying is that yes, i think chelsea bought the league, they were an average aide, and have gone from a plain ordinary side to the best in england in two years.

they were still a top 5 side, and now theyre the richest club, they will win the league. fact.

If man u had a smaller ground and less money wed have worse players and we wouldnt be in such a good position.

Even though its a very sad fact, its likely there will be trouble, why?

Firstly, a lot of englands following is largely dominated by fans who support smaller domestic teams, the chance of the big stage, people get carried away (one of my good mates alerted me to this, he has a ST at oxford united and said that there are some who relish england aways as an opportunity to cause trouble).

Secondly, there is going to be fans from all countries there, mix that with past problems, unsettled rivalries, cheap alcohol (thats the key) put them all together and trouble is very likely.

Thirdly, you have seen the trouble we have had in the past. Germany will be easy to get to, there will be thousands without tickets, win or lose drunken celebrations or losing frustrations mixed with drink often leads to trouble.

Hopefully i'm wrong, but we'll soon see.

'How can i want an english club to fail'? Before you read the arsenal comment, trying reading the rest. I want boro to win UEFA cup, last time i checked they were english. There are some english clubs that i wish to succeed, others no. Guess where arsenal land? (not really a need for abusive language)

I'm not pissed off because of the money, the fact that they have more to spend, fair enough, honestly, i would like that buying power but if you asked me if i wanted success the way chelsea have, i'd say no.

A lot of people misinterpret the feelings united fans have towards chelsea, like its resentment, far from it, your wrong.
