Does that add up to a Liverpool player? No.

His record says otherwise. He's not the player of 7 years ago, but he brings so much more to the table than he's sheer ability. In simplistic terms, we've paid -£11m for a player who not only gives us more "poshibilities", but who would have signed without wages without hesitance had Parry the inclination. Such is his (reciprocated) love for the club.

"Money can't buy me love", The Beatles sang something to that effect. It's one of the nicer stories of the year, showing that money isn't everything; that football still has a heart.

Sure is, it helps restore some faith in football after the rising ticket prices, distance from fans and players etc.
Fowler isnt his old player, class is permament but fitness isnt. But he is a win-win situation. He'd run through the firing squad for the club, has great vision, touch , eye for goal and a amazing finishing ability. The clubs covered his wages within days of sellin his shirt and memrobillia.
So he's loyal. But bare in mind my analogy.

What, that he's no Liverpool player? Loyalty and passion are valued above all else in the eyes of the Kop, and of the manager. Players who don't play for the shirt are nothing.

Like shankly said..
' all we wont is players who give 100% for the club' or something along them lines. Hes loyal and a fantastic servant to the club. He has the finishing to give us a cutting edge infront of goal. Thats all the transfer is about.
