    did you also notice that in general, commentators were quick to condemn Zidane but not Rooney...
    I think you will find that was because Zidane's was intentional. Rooney was simply jostling for the ball at the time.

    Zidane's parents are Algerian. And Ribéry married a woman of Algerian descent, who converted him to Islam.

    If you have to? Playing football is no excuse to delay your prayer given that the Prophet (PBUH) and his Companions used to take time-out to pray in the midst of the battle-field; one group prayed whilst the other guarded.
