Not very nice to be honest. Kincaid's Court across the road is a better bet. Darroch Court is nicer still.

Hey

Anyone been offered accom in College Wynd?
Anyone currently there - what's it like?

S.

Hi,

I've been offered a place in College Wynd and I have accepted it too. I dont really know what the flats are like but from the outside they look pretty nice and they are in a good location as well. What are you studying? I'm in 3/9 College Wynd, Room One. What about you?

They are in a good location although it's pretty noisy even by the standards of student flats. It's also a hell of a long time since they had any money spent on them.

Have you stayed in a flat at College Wynd?

Doin Primary Teaching at Moray House. 3/3? Do you think that will be near 3/9? Like along the corridor or something maybe. I dont know anyone else who has been accepted into College Wynd, let alone into the same flat as me. Are you quite excited about uni and stuff?

My understanding is that 3/1 means floor 3 flat 1, so i think we'll be on the same floor.

I absolutely can't wait - only 8 weeks to go.

What are your feelings about uni?

I cant wait either. I just want to start my course and get to know new people and stuff. Basically just get some independence and stand on my own two feet. I think it will be a really cool experience. I hope Im in a flat with nice folk. Theres sooo much paper work crap to do tho, like registering and stuff. So many bits of paper and forms and stuff. So where do you study Law and Economics? is it George Sq?

I think my course is in Old College. I know what you mean about the paperwork - everyday it feels as if theres something else to be sent away. Nightmare.
Does anyone have pictures of College Wynd, particularly the inside?

Where did you put as your first choice?

I put Robertson's Close first and New Arthur Place second. I've not actually seen any of the accommodation (:s), but these seemed alright from the outside. I hope there's not too much variance on the rooms inside.

robertsons close all the way!!!! i was there, moved out and moved just down the road! itsa really good location!!!! about as city central as it gets. had much fun! you want to get block 11!!! by far the most fun, - your in a secluded corner, ot right above the rush bar and has the most fun stairs in the world!!! make friends with someone witha rugby ball and play the Stairs game.... all will be clearer when you get there
