Hairy back...

hey, this is such an embarrassing problem. I'm female and have a hairy back, and also a bit of a snail trail on my stomach. I've got light skin and dark hair so it looks so much worse and i'm incredibly conscious of it.

bit of background info:
i've never worn a bikini in my life and until now i've never been in a position where it's been such an issue - i've normally just covered up and tbh i don't mind just wearing a one piece on the beach instead.

not meaning to sound big-headed but a lot of people say i'm very attractive and i do get a fair amount of male attention but this still really gets me down and my confidence is really low. i've recently got into a relationship and i think things may end up getting a little more intimate than i've been before. my now bf's seen my back by accident :o: and he pointed it out, but he keeps reassuring me it's not a problem and that he's not bothered by it, which while being really sweet on his part still end up in me being painfully embarrassed.

so guys- would you be bothered by it? and girls have any of you got the same problem? anyone got any advice as to the best method of removing it (preferably by myself, i'm really embarrassed) if i do decide to?

thanks

Do you mean a few fine dark hairs say on your lower back? I'd get it waxed.

I know loads of people with snail trails, personally I'd buy some bleach cream (just be careful you can get it in superdrug) or wax or pluck it.
DON'T SHAVE IT. I've seen people who have done this and it usually looks horrendous.

Good luck and merry christmas!

Oh and btw I mean to say jolen bleach cream.

I cant say ive been in the same position, but have you considered buying a body hair bleach pack and trying that first? If the issue is more that its dark then it might be a lot less noticable when bleached?

Does bleaching make the hair thicker? Waxing just seems to take too much time tbh...
No fair being hairy! :p:

No it doesn't make it thicker, I don't think it changes the hair apart from the colour and it probably weakens it, a good thing in your case.

And waxing is effort, you could always just have it done before you go on holiday or something so that you feel comfortable wearing a bikini and the hairs will grow back thinner.

Thanks for all your advice and yeah I have more than a few :o: but just on my lower back. They're much finer and softer than leg hair but quite long and dark. actually bleaching seems like quite a good idea, hadn't thought of it, but would it look weird if the rest of my hair's nearly black?

Out of curiosity, would this work on asian/mixed race coloured skin (like a light brown), as in would the hair be blond after bleaching- that would look a bit werd on fairly dark skin right?

Some women do suffer from extra hair, and it's hormonally related. You should talk to your GP about contraceptive pills that can be used to treat this (basically, there are some pills that work as an anti-androgen, which helps reduce hormonal hair, skin oiliness, acne, and other traits associated with that particular hormone). It's not an uncommon problem so don't feel shy to get some help. As a short term solution, waxing would be the most effective method, provided you can reach the affected areas.

Just wax it, it's no biggy.

I know a very very attractive girl that used to have that issue (she told us one time).

Once it's gone I'm sure your confidence will improve also

its cool, or get lazer treatment.

Yeah, wax or pluck. It's not a huge deal. If it bother you that much you can save up for electrolisis or something? I've heard a lot of good things about it.

How dark is your skin? As long as it's not really dark bleaching should sorta help it to blend in.

This is a problem 99% of indian and asian women suffer from; but i use the term problem in the loosest sense of the word...

As above really, but mainly don't worry about it, just deal with it and you'll be battin em off with a roll of hairy wax strip
