Girton to read MML (French & Spanish). I stayed overnight at Trinity Hall and it was way too noisy for me so that put me off going central. Also, i was limited to about 3-5 colleges as they favour literature over linguistics and I might want to do linguistics. Loved Girton, beautiful college, great facilities. Just seemed like the place for me. How about you?




You shouldnt let that put you off. Colleges take ppl regardless of whether their interests are in linguistics or literature. It didnt affect my decision of college at all. Obviously some colleges have a slant towards literature, it just depends on the interests of the fellows there. Plus, the linguistics/literatures options are taught out of college.
ok, i'll be applying for med elsewhere and natsci at cambridge. Do you think using that box to confess my science passions would be a good thing as its not in the ucas ps or would that just make it more obvious camb isn't my 1st choice????
