it looks nice from the outside, but thats about as far as my knowledge goes hehe
The business school on Jubilee includes a wide range of courses from Management, Business to Industrial Economics and A+F. I hope to go there to do Indus Econ in Sept, and chose it over Manchester as it has a good reputation and rates highly for teaching and job prospects. The business school is about 10 min from the main campus but you can still live their and commute by foot or bus, or stay on the Jubilee Campus.

I'm a 3rd year student studying Ind Econ at nottingham business school, i rate the teaching highly and took the opportunity to take part in the business school mobility program and spent my 2nd year in Malaysia (id recommend it to anyone). The business schools facilities are amazing, and i got to know many of my lecturers well.

Well you rejected it in favour of Manchester and i did the exact opposite and have manchester as my insurance and Industrial Economics at Notts as my first choice. Iv spoken to a few ppl on this course and they all have found getting internships easy and students on this course do go on into Investment Banking and Finance. Plus its more reputable than Manchester. Also i cant see this course being available through clearing.

If I were you, I would try to get into Nott. again through clearing, however this could prove difficult ........................ Re: Industrial Econ (Nott.) = IB Internship (YEAP  ).

It's a bit risky, the course may not even be on the clearing list. xx

Yeh i think he meant as his insurance and hes implying he wont make his first choice. But stop confusing yourself, both Nottingham and UCL are good, have soon confidence in your choices!!!

dont believe that ind econ from notts will garantee you a place on an internship. To get a place you need to work you ass off and be on for a 1st, because you are competing with about 100 people for each place, all of which will also have amazing track records and go to top universities.

Good/Not so good? Anyone who is currently doing Business, or thinking about doing so, at Nottingham? If so, how do you feel about it?

Thanks
Wizard

The business school is really good. I'm starting management studies this month.....notts is number 5 for business in the whole country and the business school is really beautiful. Social life at notts is real good as well so i'd really recommend it!

Yeah, I chose Nottingham over Loughborough (which was my insurance) because it's more reputable in terms of its Business School (according to a lot of
university guides).

Also, the Business School is relatively new at Nottingham (the buildings are) which make it particularly attractive.
