Brother always calls me stupid and it gets me down...

He always call sm stupid and if i say something slightly wrong he says you are talking crap as usual. Thuis makes me feel dumb, and not want to talk to anyone :frown:

How do i stop this? it gets me down..

Give me examples of what do you say....

For me, if i was in your brother shoes i wouldn't want to hear non-sense. I wouldn't say your dumb, no one is dumb. People just lack being educated. like me. heh.

Anyhow...if you don't mind me saying this. I would say your brothers are stupid because:

1) They are stupid because they don't know what they are saying is hurting you right now.

2) No brothers or any siblings should say to their other siblings their stupid. Pure immature.

3) They are stupid because rather than not listening to you, they are not helping you as a brother to correct what your going wrong.

Talk to him and tell him what you've written down in this post. He may be unintentionally doing this (giving him the benefit of the doubt) and not actually realising the effect it's having on you. It might seem a little bit far-fetched but it might have become something normal to him.

Brothers do this. It's a silly thing that they don't mean and is more an indication of how they feel about themselves.

You can tell him you don't like it.

Or

Tell his friends he displays strong homoerotic tendencies.

Argh my (younger) brother did this a lot and he barely passed his GCSEs... it's a self esteem thing. Just do well at school and you can prove him wrong.

Unless, of course, he's referring to common sense - then there's not too much you can do.

Just ignore him and like what someone said before work really hard and get good GCSEs.He will feel guilty and realise that you are not stupid at all.
