Maybe if you've got a good personal statement, if you are applying in 06 its worth e mailing admissions tutors.
I applied post results last year and pretty much got a straight answer from admissions weather I would be accepted or not based on my A level grades.

course math. i already got A for math . The other subjects are physics and further math and i am not confident enough to get AA .. :tsr:

so u dont no that u hav got abb!? i wouldnt worry bout it til u get the results. wot is the general offer for maths!? was AAA a high offer or the offer they require. for me they gave me the offer of AAA because they said they knew i was capable of gettin it and they wanted to stretch me but the general offer is AAB. so they said they would have to accept me on AAB cos it wud b unfair otherwise! y dont u ask the uni if ur worried!? it depends on how many ppl meet their grades really!

maths is always heavily oversubscribed, so unless you make your offer you probably won't have much chance of getting in.
